Producer Andréia Kaláboa, a founding partner of GP7 Cinema in Curitiba, is
joining the team behind the series “Na Batalha” as executive producer. The invitation came from Alessandra Pajolla, the project’s creator and a partner at Condessa Filmes.

Made possible through a state grant program to support audiovisual production from the Paraná State Department of Culture, using federal funds from the Paulo Gustavo Law, the series marks a historic moment for Londrina as it establishes itself as the city’s first major fictional series, mobilizing hundreds of professionals, including cast members, technical staff, and extras.

Created by Alessandra Pajolla and directed by Sabo Thati, “Na Batalha” presents a contemporary narrative that delves into themes such as youth, the outskirts, hip-hop, spirituality, and a sense of belonging, bringing together multiple dramatic storylines and a cast composed mainly of artists from the region. The project represents not only an artistic achievement but also an important step toward strengthening the creative economy in the interior of Paraná.

Andréia Kaláboa’s appointment as executive producer of the series represents a strategic move for the production. Active in the audiovisual market since 2001, Kaláboa has built a solid track record in the management and development of independent projects in Brazil.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Radio and TV from Tuiuti University of Paraná and a postgraduate degree in executive training in film and television from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation in partnership with Positivo University. She also participated in the Course on the Development of Ibero-American Audiovisual Projects at the Fundación Carolina in Madrid, one of the most respected international training programs in audiovisual project development.

Alongside Guto Pasko, with whom she founded GP7 Cinema in Curitiba in 2001, Kaláboa has produced more than 60 audiovisual works.

Among the highlights of his television career are the miniseries “Colônia Cecília – Uma História de Amor e Utopia”, produced for RPC TV (a Globo affiliate in Paraná); the documentary miniseries *Um Lugar Para Chamar de Céu”, aired on TV Brasil and Canal Futura; as well as the fiction series “Contracapa”, considered Paraná’s first major independent series, which aired on TV Brasil, AXN, and the streaming platforms Prime Video, Looke, and Box Brazil Play; its second season is scheduled to be filmed in 2026.

In 2023, Andréia also served as executive producer on the TV movie “Mulheres que Migram”, directed by Sabrina Demozzi, produced by Trópico TV for Canal Futura, and later made available on Globoplay.

In film, highlights include the feature film “Entrelinhas”, directed by Guto Pasko, which premiered at Cine PE in 2023 and won awards in five categories, and was later licensed to AMC and Prime Video for streaming; the feature film *Lamaçal*, by Franco Verdoia, an international co-production with Argentina available on Globoplay; and the documentary *Iván*, by Guto Pasko, distributed in theaters and released in 13 countries, streamed on Prime Video and the History Channel.

In addition to being a producer, Andréia also works as a director. She made her directorial debut helming episodes of the fictional TV series *Casos e Causos*, produced by GP7 Cinema for RPC TV (a TV Globo affiliate in Paraná).

In film, her 2019 short film *Parabéns a Você* toured the national festival circuit, receiving special recognition at the Brasília Brazilian Film Festival, where it won awards in the technical categories of cinematography and art direction. The film was licensed to Canal Brasil on pay TV.

She is currently wrapping up “Sereis Uma Só Carne”, her first feature-length fiction film as a director—a project selected for major international labs such as the CDPAI at the Carolina Foundation in Spain and part of the ELAS Seal program by Elo Studios, which is responsible for distributing her debut feature.
