Anarkhos

Feature-Length Fiction Film | 80 minutes

Introduction

In the late 19th century, Palmeira served as the setting for a way of life proposed by Italian immigrants who were followers of anarchism.

The dream of an alternative community became a reality for a very brief period and left its mark not only on the municipality of Palmeira but also in history.

A little over a century later, few traces remain of this chapter in Paraná’s history, but Colônia Cecília stands as a global landmark of anarchism—a significant event that is part of the history of the development of the state of Paraná and Brazil, and one that deserves to be portrayed in a feature-length fictional film.

Logline
